New year resolutions

As its a new year, my resolution this year is to be more healthy and improve my fitness. To eat more salads, and cut down on junk foods, and stress less. My work can be the source of stress, what with working in a male dominated industry.
Also one of my best friends is getting married later this year and I would like to look my best, as well as get fitter for my wedding, no date yet!

I do get a subscription of Australian Womens Health magazine(see link above), and since I first bought a copy, its always been somewhere in the house to browse through. Its great, all health tips, fitness suggestions and all round intersting reading, (along with an Elle, Madison or Vogue under the bed, lol).

So yes, this year is to try my best to be healthier. Also since I suffer from really bad migraines and pains in my shoulders, I have to be carefull about what I eat sometimes, and stress, along with taking tablets where ever I go.
Such a pain, it just came on one day and went after a bit and then came back with a force. So I take specialist tablets for migraines and massage for my shoulders. Also with working most of the time, that helps with what I eat and dont eat, sometimes too busy and just have to a break and thats it, so do keep those powdered meal replacements handy. As well as many herbal teas, and bottle of water. Getting better slowly.

Have any of you suffered migraines, what did you do that helped?
What is your new year resolutions?

Moving to a new home in the height of summer!

We moved to our first home a week before Xmas, we have been here for just over a month now, and it is so hot! Especially if the house does not come with aircon. So we had to get it installed pronto, it only feels cooler now, two aircons later, as well as tint.

Its so nice to live in a house that you know is totally yours and you can make holes where you want etc lol,, but I guess the downside is if it has not been finished (to your own high standards, as its your money) then its a downer when you see a list of items, that has not been completed properly, and constant arguing with the builder, about when they will come and fix it. But its still nice to have your own place.

At least we have space to expand our veggie garden. Bought loads of new seeds to try out and the tomatoe plants are growing out of control as usual. With this hot weather you have to be carefull as it tends to destroy the leaves of the vegies.

The house is down south of Perth, definatly quieter and more suburb like, I still love the city, used to always live in the city before, but grew up in the country. City is so central and easy to access, but I love the idea of growing your own veg and fruit especially as everything is so expensive now.

Well have a few chores to do and clean up after the hubby has been doing alterations etc...
What was your first home like?
Where is your ideal place to live?
