Tag.... and your it!

This is a tag from Rainy Days and Lattes and i would be happy to indulge in the questions she has put to us who reads her blog, so here goes.....

When did you first start in fashion/beauty blogging and why?
Well I first started my blog when I was made redundant from my job about 2 years ago and had too much spare time I did not know what to do, as i was waiting for my resident visa. I am working at the moment in case you ask.So I filled up my time with posting and working out how to blog.

Are you a sweets or savory food type of person?
lol definatly a sweets person unfortunatly, I love all things sweet and desert like. Apple and Rhubarb Crumble with Custard is my fav. mmmmm. But I have been good and been cutting down a bit.

Favorite place in the entire world?
Well... I would have to say here in Perth, it does remind me of home, South Africa but a less violent S.A. , and the beaches are so gorgous, and in the summer time I still stand there on the hot white sand looking into the clear blue sea and think to my self "wow I cannot believe we are here".

Other hobbies besides makeup and clothes?
Well I have tried most things, I dont have a specific hobby, I have been snowboarding before and just adore it and want to go again, and used to do Aikido and Jiu Jitsu, but had to cut it as had to save money. So it would be a bit of those two, when I know how much spare cash we will have I will prob get back into martial arts again, or yoga again.

Favourite drink?
Malibu and coke, Pina Colada, Zabuca shots, Caramel Lattes!

Perfect date?
hmmm that is a hard one, well I'm open to most things, but as long as at the end of it i felt like I did not want it to end, we talked most of the time, he makes me laugh, and I get butterflies.

Your beauty indulgence?
A good foundation, and quality perfume.

Favourite magazines or books?
Elle UK, UK Glamour, Australian Womens Health, Harpers Bazaar, Shop Till You Drop, Vogue.
Books - anything by James Patterson, and crime thrillers, fashion and beauty bibles too.

And my own qu.
What is your fav tv show / series and or movie at this moment?
At this moment Burn Notice & Covert Affairs.

Mineral Powder Foundation review

After going from an expensive branded mineral foundation to a cheap and affordable brand and then one in between, I decided to do some investigating into Mineral Foundations. As I have oily to combo skin and by the end of the day I am shiny, I prefer powders to liquids as it goes on smoother and easy to build. After going on many websites and beautyheaven.com.au for reviews, and reading Don't Go To The Cosmetics Counter Without Me - Paula Begoun, so many reviews.... I decided upon Laura Mercier.

I read many glowing reviews especially for oily skin, and decided to take the plunge and buy it. I bought the compact mineral pressed foundation, and have been using it for two weeks now. WOW it is amazing good coverage, stays nice and matt, a bit shiny on the chin but good, and so easy to apply, I use the kabuki brush not the sponge provided.

So it's a 9/10 for me, buta 7/10 for pricing. Was $65 but it worth it I guess, it is a bit pricey but it will last me a few months. My skin has improved since using this aswell, not as manybreakouts when compared with the other brand I was using (which was cheaper but I will not say the brand unless you ask).

A desert island feel

How gorgous are these clothes, I even feel more relaxed looking at them. I happened upon this site Lilya when reading Under Lock and Key. They look so gorgous and have that stranded on a deserted island but look like a godess feel. Why not have look. xo
