Food event at 140 William St mall

Just been to have a look at the pop up event at 140 WilliamSt Malls to celebrate the last space to be opened up to public, which is occupied by Burger and Ribs restaurant. Pretty amazing, TV crews, stalls with cheap tasters, food vans and specials in the stores, new Burger and Ribs restaurant next to Jamie's. Bags with little gifts, music and shows for later I think and so many people. Pretty great for an event in Perth. This is what makes working in the CBD so great!! Go perth!

Rethinking my motivational list.

It's pretty hard to stick to the New Years resolutions, but it helps if you have a goal or a specific date. Which is what I did for my wedding. I had to be fitter for a specific date and that was in my head all the time.

This time it's prep for a baby. I want to be fitter and healthier, not an unrealistic stick size but I would be happy being 1 or 2 sizes smaller, and increasing my fitness level. ie. When you walk up stairs and you are stuffed after 2 flights!
Also if I get into the routine now, then I can stick to it while being pregnant.

So this is my revised list, which I will print out/write out, and put somewhere where I look everyday, to remind me.

What has been tough this year for you.

Happy New Year!

Well one of the things that everyone is thinking of around this time of year is New Years resolutions.
What do I want to do different this year, I want to be better this year.

Well mine is not to worry so much about work, don't think about work when I get home, don't sweat the small things, concentrate on a healthy lifestyle more and and do one sweet thing for my hubby every week.

There really are more important things than worrying about work. And life doesn't wait for you, like summer. It will still come around whether you do something or do nothing.
So my main goal is being healthier and doing more exercise.

What would be your New Years resolution.

Tis the season for Xmas hampers.

A good friend of mine has an all natural hand made soap and lotions business, Potioned Products, and she brought in a made-to-order hamper box with a selection of bath bombs, soaps, cream and natural dog soap.
Pretty amazing. I have her mud bars which are the best and will be trying her Peppermint and Epsom Salts bombs soon.

If anyone is interested :

When times get tough.

It's one of those times in life when you are juggling so many balls, and then someone adds another..
Trying to manage building new house, organizing for maintenance old house, work is stressfull and tiresome with stupid politics, trying to be more healthy (both of us), saving cash, thinking of a business for future, thinking of a baby next year, still have not been on holiday / honeymoon yet...

Sometimes it can be too much.

What are your 2016 plans?
Mine is that the house will be complete, work would have calmed down, I will more healthy and workout more. 🍉

Where has time gone....

You know the feeling when time goes so quick. One minute you are thinking "yeah it will be ok to do that next week", and then 2 months has gone by! Really can't believe it is coming to the end of the year, and I hardly posted anything. (Prob because I been on Instagram so much..!)

Health benefits of massage therapy, how interesting.

The benefits of massage therapies. See the handy infographic below!

Massage isn't just for pampering either, it can be for elevating chronic pain, promoting better sleep, it may relieve mild depression, a great way to boost your immunity, and self massage eases financial concerns.

Im in! I love my massages!

Product Review - Bumble and Bumble

I have been trying these two products from Bumble and Bumble, the Hairdresser's Invisible Oil and the Prêt-à-Powder. I must say they are my new favorite hair products!

A bit of a description of both:

Hairdresser's Invisible Oil

This transformative blend of nourishing oils vanishes into hair, leaving a smooth feathersoft feel and a trace of shine. For everyday use, to soften, smoothe and reduce frizz, tame flyaways, detangle and strengthen hair against breakage.

Salon tip: Work sparingly into damp hair before air drying or blow-drying, or smooth through dry hair for a sensational finish. Try it with Thickening Hairspray for a soft, tangle-free blow out, or as a finisher after styling to control flyaways and add polish.

I have been searching far and wide for a great leave in conditioner. This is better! It's just as good as the Argan Oil or Moroccan Oil leave in oils. It leaves your hair so silky soft smooth you feel like touching it all the time. Gives a great beach wave tousled look. It's pretty Fabulux.

Prêt-à-Powder

Equal parts dry shampoo, style extender and volume in a pinch of invisible hair powder. Direct from the New York House of Bumble, this hair powder is the modern girl's secret to style oily hair, fine hair or hair that's missed a shampoo. Use on dry hair; to extend the life of a blow dry, one small pinch, gently massaged at roots will instantly add lift and volume to make every day a great hair day.

Perfect for all hair types and textures.

This is WOW, so amazingly better than those hair spray shampoos. You can't see any white residue in your hair and its perfect va-va-boom volume. This will be in my permanent collection.

The only downside on these both are the prices, but on the other hand a small amount goes so far. Especially the oil.

5 out of 5 for me.

Has anyone else tried these yet?

A lot has happened.....

It's been a while since I last posted, and lot has happened. I got married in December, and started to build a new house too. Wanted to have a back up work plan so started learning Massage Therapy, and am slowly continuing with that.
Work is crazy busy at the moment, and just feels like a means of making money. Which is why a backup or alternative plan is needed. Especially when you start a family.

I have also started a new workout routine, something that I saw from a fitness series. www.toneitup.com
It's working out pretty good, haven't put full motivation into it yet but at least im working out in the morning before work.

Has anyone completed any New Years resolutions yet?

Tone It Up Fitness

I have been getting into this new fitness cult craze going around, Tone It Up. I have started doing the workouts in the morning, and download their programs and schedules. They have great recipe ideas and their videos on their site is real easy to follow.

You can also post your progress on Instagram, with fellow TIU members which I love, and can go in the running for prizes. There is an app too for all their current info, posts, workouts, and community posts.

You should check it out, and the girls are really fun too in the way they do the workout routines.

Shoe Addict

Have you ever spied a pair of heels and thought WOW they are amazing, I have had a shoe obsession with the below ones that I searched for. They can be found at Zomp.
They are just amazing and different. You don't find shoes with a clear heel that manage to be chic at the same time.

Catch up

Hi all, it has been a while. Been so busy, house stuff, changed job a few times and moved industries in the end. But utterly was so worth it. I love my job and where I work. Also planning wedding too, and deal with a funeral. It had been a long year. 2013 brings new year, new health and wellness goals, and an alternative business of massage therapy.

So all is new and good so far, just super busy.

What have you been up to since the year started?

Just a quickie....

This is just a quick post to hi and to let you know all is ok. Have been super busy and so much has happened in the year. Moved jobs twice. Wasn't happy with the company I was working for so moved, then that company was really bad, bad attitude and backstabbing, not the environment I wanted to be envied in, so move on, now am with this company. Also hubby moved jobs too. So far so good, and the people seem really nice it is the people and the atmosphere that makes a place of work tolerable. Then there are still issues with the house we bought. You really do have to watch for cowboy builders who do it the cheap way. Then my friend got married aswell, last year was an amazing amazing wedding, the speaches were beautiful and brought a tear to my eye. One of my other friends are getting married this year that's going to good too. Then xmas came and went, cannot believe it is 2012 already. Just time flies by so quickly, just celebrated hubby bday the other weekend. And my 30th is coming up soon too eeek.

So it has been a busy year. What you even up to the past year.
Any new years resolutions ?
Mine is to be more healthy, (that is on everyones top ten) and to be more organized at home.

New year resolutions

As its a new year, my resolution this year is to be more healthy and improve my fitness. To eat more salads, and cut down on junk foods, and stress less. My work can be the source of stress, what with working in a male dominated industry.
Also one of my best friends is getting married later this year and I would like to look my best, as well as get fitter for my wedding, no date yet!

I do get a subscription of Australian Womens Health magazine(see link above), and since I first bought a copy, its always been somewhere in the house to browse through. Its great, all health tips, fitness suggestions and all round intersting reading, (along with an Elle, Madison or Vogue under the bed, lol).

So yes, this year is to try my best to be healthier. Also since I suffer from really bad migraines and pains in my shoulders, I have to be carefull about what I eat sometimes, and stress, along with taking tablets where ever I go.
Such a pain, it just came on one day and went after a bit and then came back with a force. So I take specialist tablets for migraines and massage for my shoulders. Also with working most of the time, that helps with what I eat and dont eat, sometimes too busy and just have to a break and thats it, so do keep those powdered meal replacements handy. As well as many herbal teas, and bottle of water. Getting better slowly.

Have any of you suffered migraines, what did you do that helped?
What is your new year resolutions?

Moving to a new home in the height of summer!

We moved to our first home a week before Xmas, we have been here for just over a month now, and it is so hot! Especially if the house does not come with aircon. So we had to get it installed pronto, it only feels cooler now, two aircons later, as well as tint.

Its so nice to live in a house that you know is totally yours and you can make holes where you want etc lol,, but I guess the downside is if it has not been finished (to your own high standards, as its your money) then its a downer when you see a list of items, that has not been completed properly, and constant arguing with the builder, about when they will come and fix it. But its still nice to have your own place.

At least we have space to expand our veggie garden. Bought loads of new seeds to try out and the tomatoe plants are growing out of control as usual. With this hot weather you have to be carefull as it tends to destroy the leaves of the vegies.

The house is down south of Perth, definatly quieter and more suburb like, I still love the city, used to always live in the city before, but grew up in the country. City is so central and easy to access, but I love the idea of growing your own veg and fruit especially as everything is so expensive now.

Well have a few chores to do and clean up after the hubby has been doing alterations etc...
What was your first home like?
Where is your ideal place to live?
